Graphic design is a constantly evolving field. As techniques become more advanced and technology advances, graphic designers are able to create more amazing work than ever before. However, even in this digital age, some designers still manage to stand out from the crowd. Here are five modern graphic designers who are creating amazing work that will blow your mind:
Chris Delorenzo
Chris Delorenzo is a Philadelphia-based graphic designer with a degree in graphic design. He has worked at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia since 2009, where he teaches and coordinates student curricula. His work is modern, clean and elegant–a perfect example of what we seek to achieve with this article: showcasing modern designers who are making great work today.
Chris has an active website where he showcases his portfolio of past projects as well as some behind-the-scenes photos from shoots he’s been involved with along with links to his social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter).
Margo Anderson
Margo Anderson is a graphic designer based in San Francisco who has worked with clients like Google, Facebook and Apple. She’s known for her typography-focused work that often incorporates bold colors.
You can see more of Margo’s work on her website or follow her on Instagram.
Ineke Visser
Ineke Visser is a Dutch graphic designer who has made her mark on the world of design. Her bold, colorful designs have been featured in magazines and books all over the world, as well as exhibitions around Europe and America. She lives in California but works remotely for clients in Holland and other countries.
Jessica Walsh
Jessica Walsh is a graphic designer who has worked with some of the most notable brands in the world, including Nike and Calvin Klein. She’s also the co-founder of Sagmeister & Walsh, an award-winning design studio that has been featured in publications such as Fast Company and Business Insider.
Walsh’s work strives to blend art and technology to create unique designs that make people think differently about their products. In one example of this blending of mediums, she created a 3D printed dress made from recycled plastic bottles at Fashion Week NYC 2016–the first time such technology was used to make clothes on such a large scale (and definitely not the last).
Michael Barnett
Michael Barnett is a graphic designer and illustrator from London who has worked with clients such as The Royal Ballet, The British Museum and Tate Britain. He has a style that is modern, but also classic. His work uses bold colors and geometric shapes to create an iconic look for his clients.
Michael Barnett’s creative process involves working with the client to find out what they want to achieve with their brand identity or logo design before creating sketches of ideas that he will then refine into finished artwork.
These designers are creating work that is modern in style
Modern graphic designers are creating work that is clean and simple. They’re using bold colors, but not too many. They’re using geometric shapes, but not too many. And they’re using negative space when needed–but not too much (cough cough Helvetica).
This isn’t to say you should only use these elements in your own designs–it’s just an observation on what makes something modern in style: simplicity without sacrificing aesthetics or usability; boldness while maintaining readability; minimalism without being boring or cold-hearted.
These designers are creating work that is modern in style. They are using digital tools to create images that look like they were made by hand, and they’re pushing the boundaries of what design can be. It’s exciting to see how they are reinventing this medium while also staying true to its roots in traditional image-making techniques like drawing and painting!
